And then there’s the option to choose one sample, and allow the rest of your box to be a surprise based on your beauty profile:
February 2016 Sample Choice
A honey based mask built to lightly exfoliate and strip away dead skin when the layers dry and you pull them off. This one might be too fun for me to pass up, plus come on, what significant other isn’t going to hear ‘hey honey, take it off!’
It’s supposed to be good for all skin types, and no reviews I’ve seen have had any complications or anything less than stellar results so far. (est. $7.00 value)
This one is a Birchbox brand, still pretty new, and meant for the girl on the go. To match with your lifestyle. I’ve heard excellent things about this moisturizing, ph-balanced balm, and to make it even cooler: it goes on sheer, then adds a bright pink sheen once it reacts to the warmth and ph of your lips. I believe this is full size if you choose this sample. Retail $14.00.
I don’t know too much about this product. I’ve tried the Whish lotion and that was OK but just a 3/5 for me. I’m always hesitant about oils but they are supposed to strip away the bad oils that clog your pores and replace them with healthy oils to keep your skin from acting up when it doesn’t have enough oil to function properly. This seems to be a pretty new product and I’ll be curious to see reviews.
Another exfoliating mask, the sample is just a bit bigger than the Honey mask, and exfoliates through the chemicals in the mask rather than by peeling away the skin. You rub it on, leave it for 10 minutes, and wash away.
The lip tar in the curated box is tempting, but it’s about the only thing I’d be happy about. So I think I’ll be doing the ARROW BOOST lip balm for one box, and the Hey Honey Take it Off! mask for my other. I love the light pink design way better this month anyway!
Sample choice opens up on January 27th for anyone willing to refer a friend by the 25th (they do NOT have to sign up, and you can use the same email each month), and January 28th for everyone else.
If you’re a Birchbox subscriber, what are you choosing this month? Anyone going for the Date Night box? What are you excited about?
